![]() Daigrepont Family Tree ©compilation byEvelyn Daigrepont Bierniat ![]() UPDATE: April 28, 2000. I recieved the following information and correspondence from Amela de Contenson, who lives in Paris, France. Letter dated: 4/25/2000 Sent: Tuesday, April 25, 2000 2:30 PM Subject: French family? Dear Eve, I found your d'Aigrepont Genealogy web page this afternoon, and if your genealogy tree happens to match ours, we could be your french cousins! Our ancestors were lord mayor (twice) and treasurer of Moulins in the XVIIIth century, and their name was Vernin d'Aigrepont. We have to check the names of the children born just before French Revolution, to find out who was this Jean-Jacques Vernin d'Aigrepont you're talking about. Congratulation for your beautiful web site. The blason with the "croix du St Sépulcre et la branche d'aulne écartelés" is correct for us. Looking forward to confirm, Amela Letter dated: 4/27/2000 Sent: Thursday, April 27, 2000 2:22 AM Subject: French family...part2 The place you call 'castle of Aigrepont' is located 3 km far from Moulins, in Bourbonnais. Letter dated: 4/28/2000 Sent: Friday, April 28, 2000 1:59 AM Subject: French family Hi Eve, My father finally found yesterday the document he was looking for; according to it, your Jean Jacques Vernin d'Aigrepont would be the brother of our ancestor, André Achille d'Aigrepont. Jean Jacques would be born in 1765, and up to now we thought he had died without any chidren... The house we were talking about is still called Aigrepont, and still belongs to our family. So finally, we may really be cousins... Thank you for your informations, Amela Sent: Friday, April 28, 2000 6:39 AM Subject: Ré: Re: French family Eve, Our genealogy sources give the same parents to Jean Jacques and André Achille as yours, same dates, and they are said to have 12 children, I shall send you their names and dates. Until then, nice week-end to you, Amela ![]()
